Job Description:
The RSPB is seeking passionate individuals to join our team as volunteer interns, contributing to vital conservation efforts across the UK. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain practical experience in the field of wildlife and nature conservation, working alongside experienced professionals and contributing to meaningful projects.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with various conservation activities, such as habitat management, monitoring bird populations, and data collection.
- Participate in public engagement events, raising awareness about RSPB’s work and inspiring others to connect with nature.
- Support with administrative tasks and research projects as required.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
Qualifications:
- A keen interest in wildlife and nature conservation.
- A willingness to learn and a commitment to personal development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A good level of physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Experience:
- Previous volunteer experience in a conservation or environmental setting is desirable.
- A relevant degree in ecology, environmental science, or a related field is an advantage.
Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to use data collection tools and record information accurately.
- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- IT literacy and a willingness to learn new skills.
